Well the animals are here. It took me longer than Mark to get them through customs, though. I blame it on karma. The cat’s karma, not mine. That damned cat. Their flight landed at 10:20PM and I got to the cargo building about 20 minutes later. The KLM rep. who called me last week to confirm said not to get there until 11:00, but damn that. Turns out it was perfect timing, as their paperwork had just arrived, so I didn’t miss a beat on that one. It was still 3 hours later before I got out of there. It was 2:30 by the time I got both animals and their kennels upstairs and got them settled, which was just over 4 hours from the time I’d left the apartment to go to the airport. I took a nap for a couple of hours before I went to the airport and, essentially, another nap afterwards. Today’s the last day of class, so, though it’s going to be painful, I at least have the consolation that I’ll be able to sleep later tomorrow. The whole process, though long and seemingly filled with with far too much paperwork, wasn’t painful (except for the painful yawning I had to endure). Everyone was exceptionally nice and helpful. That might have something to do with the fact that I was dressed like a woman, but I’d like to think better than that of humanity. Although I did look hot. Sick hot.
Bella was confused, at first, but seems to have adjusted pretty well. Ruca seems fine with regard to most things, she just doesn’t seem to understand she’s home. I’ve taken her out three times to try and get her to go to the bathroom and each time she just wants to go to the car. I can only assume the only reason she’s nagging me to take her outside is so that I’ll take her “home.” Poor thing. She follows me if I leave one room and go to another. I’ve got to leave in about 45 minutes and I’ll be gone for at least 9 hours. Hopefully I can get her to go before I leave, because she hasn’t been since she got here.

She is going to piss on your stash of menthols.
You seem to have an almost phallic obsession with my menthols and I. It’s flattering. It’s also a little disturbing.
